Lately I've been asked the important questions, "when is the best time to book a senior session?" I start booking as early as June for the next coming class, but you can choose when is best for you. If you hate summer for instance, let's find the perfect time for you in the fall or spring! Whether it is with me or another photographer, please hear me... Book sooner, rather than later! Photographers' calendars tend to fill up quickly! So, if you have your eye on someone that you like, be sure to reach out to them early on, even if you don't want your session till fall!
Let's chat about things I love for each season briefly...
If you are familiar with me at all, you know that I LOVE summer, I live for it. I love being outdoors, nature, the sun... all the things! Summer brings for the most gorgeous fields of green, wildflowers and the perfect sunsets. A fan favorite is a session in a creek and rolling hills of flowers, if this sounds like what you want, then summer is perfect for you! Honestly, my favorite month to shoot in summer is August into mid-September. The greens and wildflowers generally tend to have slightly darker and richer hues as they are beginning to go into fall, giving the most gorgeous bold tones in your photos!
Fall, it comes quick, and it goes quick. A true fall is mid to late October and color wise, lasts about two weeks. If you want that perfect color, you basically need to schedule NOW, because October fills up quick! My favorite thing about fall is the dynamic hues that are captured in photos. A sunny day can make the colors almost sparkle and shine, while a cloudy day brings such moody fall vibes. If you like bold contrast, colors and prefer it not being so hot, fall is the perfect time for you!
Spring, we all love to see life coming back after a long winter! The perfect time for a sports session, cap and gown or just a full-on session. If you're looking for florals, late April into May is the perfect time to schedule! Downtown FW has one of the most gorgeous parks and is a complete dream to shoot at! Of course, the weather can be a bit hit and miss but if you love gorgeous rows of white, pink and purple flowering trees, spring is where it's at!
Hopefully that is a bit helpful breaking down the seasons and what you can expect from each! I offer several different packages to hopefully meet all of my seniors needs.
